Just confirmed my tickets are in section 107. How's the crowd? I mean, I cheer loudly and I will stand every chance I get. I try to lose my voice if possible. I try not obnoxious about it though and I pay attention to those around me so I won't be rude. Is it a country club section where I'll be hushed and cramped sitting down the whole game from risk of being scolded for standing for a touchdown? I love the seats and I'll definitively use them for the smaller games all game, but I don't want to have to be fricking golf clapping during Clemson. I sat in 127 before and it was very quiet and I had to stop really cheering because no one else was. Would going into the student section be better for big games?

(the rest of my seating experience has been student sections)

Not bad, as far as the 100 level goes. Typically the north side gets more rowdy than the south, plus you're still relatively close to the student section which helps a good bit.

You've got a 1, maaaaayyyyybbeeeeeeeeeeee 2 year window to do that. Then it gets lame and kinda pathetic.

Yeah, people sneaking into the student sections pissed me off when I was there but most of the time, it was obviously middle aged men and kinda creepy. I'm a 2013 grad, but look older so I don't know if I can pull it off or not. It really depends on what my buddies do. Those who are graduated sit all over the stadium so it's difficult to get together. I am mainly worried about being crammed in upon by less adventurous people.

I'm 28 and could probably pass for 15, I'm not concerned with "looking like a student".

Just at my age, I dont' want to fight with blackout drunk underclassmen, have people staggering/puking all over the place, dumbass girls that won't STFU about penalties, etc.

I'd rather sit in my seats that I paid for and watch the game. And my section does get somewhat rowdy for big plays. Not a constant throughout the game, but I'm alright with that.

Now, away games are a COMPLETELY different story altogether.

I was about to comment on the student section, but then I realized I actually don't know what it's like since I'm always in my own world

From my vantage point, the seats close to the front of the student section are always the dedicated fans and they're typically there for the actual football. YMMV.

I've had plenty of issues with fans in and out of the student section. I will call people out on being classless pricks (people who say we should injure other players and stuff) and that's much worse in the west endzone than anywhere else.

What do you mean about away games. The only away game I've been to was Clemson and that was was rowdy but civil and everyone got along great. I ask because I'm thinking of going to the Carolina game this year if I can get cheap tickets. But I don't feel the need to be around aholes, cock fans or Georgia fans if I'm going to be spending that sort of money.

Painting your chest =/= most dedicated, FWIW.

Also, on my drive from ATL to gwinnett this morning there was en Enterprise truck with a huge G on the back and I think it said redcoat band on the side. What was it doing?

Truth. I knew a few of the guys who were part of the lineup. They just did it because "hey, this is college, we do stuff like this," not because of any passion. I think in 2010, during the Arkansas game, quite a few left because they painted themselves black and "it's too hot for this."

I am in 106 and have never been told to sit down or quiet down during games, and most of the people around me are middle aged at least. As someone said, the North side season ticket holders are apparently not the prats from the south side gentry.

I don't disagree. There's always exceptions. But the guys who show up 2 hours early for games must care at least a little bit more than many students who decide to leave by halftime.
