I know we have a lot of guys to throw to and for the most part, we are a running offense but you have to like his emergence. Catching a few balls in the Championship game and them using him more in the spring game this year, he could be finally catching on.

You have to think Sammy, Duke and Bray will be the main targets but Ray just may slip in the open a few times for us this year.

Nah I think 2015 will be his year. He seems to be JJ's go to guy (at least from A day and brief play in 13). With Sammie and Quille most likely gone in 15 think Ray becomes a top target then

I think Davis will be more of a threat than Ray.

Depends on how much JJ plays.

No, don't really see him being a serious threat while here.

Pretty much this.

I would be very surprised if he ever caught more than about 10 or 15 balls in a season.

I'd rather see Davis in the slot than Bray. I've been underwhelmed by Bray as a WR. Davis is just a straight baller

Yea, it seems Jeremy Johnson always looks towards Melvin Ray...

We lose Quan Bray, Sammie Coates and Duke Williams after this year. That leaves Marcus Davis, Melvin Ray, Tony Stephens, Jaylon Denson, RiCardo Louis, Stanton Truitt, Dominic Walker and Jason Smith next year.

Ive been a big fan of Ray since last year. He has great hands, runs good routes, and has the speed to take it to the house.

With how big Melvin Ray is, I can see him being a dominant run blocker. I imagine he will sneak past some secondaries on play action

He will become our 2nd best receiver.

He will block, he is big, he is tall, rangy, faster than he looks, a good leaper, and catches anything he touches.

He last 3 catches have probably averaged 50 ypc.

Thats about all you can ask for.
