Pretty cool concept. Kinda small though, so likely would be packed on football weekends when I would be up there. Glad it's going in though. I'm getting a little too old for the cotton district or zorbas. Also, Zorbas is now called Upstairs At Tyler.

And with drink prices like these there is no way that it shouldn't always be packed out. I didn't realize how cheap Starkville's drink prices were until after I moved.

Ditto.

I'd hit it up after a nice Junction and DWS daste.

You're never too old to creep on hot 21 year olds.

The backdoor entrance with a small sign is actually pretty cool.

I really like this and will definitely check it out the first chance I get.

I would almost prefer the prices to be higher at a bar focusing people over the age of 22. I feel like premium drinks deter anyone without a real job to pay for them. Hard to stay in business if you can't compete for the college kids who live there though, and price is generally what they look for.

I agree, but there aren't any bars in Starkville that focus on 22+ year olds. Daves is probably the closest. Maybe Old Venice sometimes.
This new speakeasy place seems like it will premium drinks.

Has anyone been to the bar that was supposed to open behind rock bottom?

That was supposed to cater to an older crowd...

FIFY. If they are drunk, they will bite on any reasoning. "You're 21, and she's 21, so that makes you guys 42. See. That's not so bad."

When the hell are they going to tear down that shite old gas station across from peppers/bulldog deli? They need to build a big bar there with a large patio seating area

I wasn't even aware that gas station was still in operation until I stopped there one time walking to Drifters. It looks like a post apocalypse shelter.

If there was just a nice looking bar there it would make the cotton district really come together

You could put a pretty big place in that area. I think there is a pretty nice empty space behind the gas station.
