to take to SEC media days?
I assume they want the good communicators in the program up there in front of the mic to represent their University to the media and fans.

is Nick Marshall going to media days?

Nick Marshall will speak unintelligibly and he'll still get far more attention than anything Bert does.

please stop with the criticisms. I am not sure anyone here would sound better in front of hundreds of cameras.

Depends. Chris Conley is easily our most well-spoken guy on the team and he's going. Gurley and Ramik Wilson are more on the quiet side, but Ramik is going to represent the defense and Todd is going presumably to get him some more experience with the media given what he has ahead of him.

I thought Gurley wasn't going.

Well spoken and/or Heisman candidates, yeah

It's Gurley, Conley, and Wilson for UGA. Conley will likely be the front man.
I suspect they left Mason at home to keep the pressure off as much as possible. Also, he tends to run his mouth at times, according to some. Gotta let him win a few before that happens

I don't think we're sending the most well-spoken guys this year. There's at least 1 of our guys going that doesn't quite have the hang of speaking fluidly during an interview. I'm nervous for him.

well if the first part is true then the 2nd part is probably true too so...

Of course I don't think a coach is going to take a thug who can't speak well. Nick Marshall will be the hardest to understand there. Not saying he's a thug, just saying he doesn't speak very clear. At least it's something football related instead of watching fricking baseball, I'm ready for media day

The intention is to take team leaders, but obviously their ability to speak somewhat intelligible English would have to be a consideration. Not sure this needed to be a thread.

do 3/4 of the topics deserve a thread? i certainly don't see this one as any worse than the norm.

You're probably right. Just a little pissy this morning pre-coffee I suppose and this thread is where I found myself.
