Last Looch update said Kyle Allen has the inside track, and from the Matt Davis/Kenny Hill thing, we should have all learned by now, Looch just texts Spav when he wants to know who is winning the QB race.

RB: Tra Carson. Trey Williams will get plenty of carries, but he doesn't pass block. I think a pass protecting RB will be even more important this season. ESPECIALLY early on.

WR: RSJ, Speedy Noil, Malcom Kennedy and someone else
TE: Cam Clear
LT: Ced-O
LG: Jarvis Harrison
C: Mike Matthews
RG: Not sure
RT: Ifedi

WDE: Batman
SDE: Stansbury
DT: Jay Arnold I guess
NT: Zay, but a true fish here worries me, maybe they go Jay Arnold and someone else at DT?
Mike: Mastro
Sam/Will: Not sure
CB: Deshazor/DeVante
Safeties: I don't know but it won't be good.

My balloon knot is going to be so fricking tight every time the opposing QB so much as looks deep downfield.

I think Wilson lands a S spot. Maybe not game one but mid season I think he's there over Honey.

Does anyone think Harvey might eventually get the nod over Harris at corner?

I hope Harvey at least gets good playing time. Teams are going exploit Harris on screens and we need someone who can be more physical if needed.

Is this our most talented offense ever?

2012 offense is hard to beat.

Heisman at QB, Joeckel, Matthews, Ogbuehi all on same line, two 5 stars and Ben Malena at RB, All-SEC WR Swope at WR

Agreed. But damn, if you go through it position-by-position this looks like a world-beater. Particularly if Allen pans out how most of us expect. The elephant in the closet I won't mention. Should be a fun year, in any case.

I'll go with Klarvins starting roster but I think Raven is gonna be on a tight leash and will eventually be replaced by Deshazor at safety and you will see Tavares Garner or true fish Nick Harvey slide in starting opposite Harris.

Dead money, I'm hoping the new DB coach fixes Raven. He has as much physical talent as anybody on the roster.

I hope the blinders he put on Raven's helmet in the spring to teach eye discipline help.

I agree about Raven.

We need a 2012 like turnaround on defense, esp the secondary.

There are actually a fair amount of guys who seem to have the upside to be contributors

Victor Davis-great looking athlete
Wiggins
Noel Ellis
Devonta Burns
Raven
Tavares Garner
Alex Sezer
Nick Harvey
Armani Watts
Donovan Wilson

And then of course you have Deshazor, Matthews, and Harris.

There has to be a a way to field a respectable unit out of those players. Of course a good DL and a pass rush would help.

2012 had a fairly experienced secondary with 2 underperforming seniors (Terrell and Harris) stepping up when we needed them to.

Maybe Howard Matthews and Floyd Raven can get their shite together or they can be the next coming of Trent Hunter.
