Bama football fans = UK basketball fans
If Bama was good at basketball, they'd be insufferable for two sport seasons instead of just one.

Nice troll but you don't know the Alabama basketball fanbase very well. Alabama fans that regularly attend basketball games are completely different people than the sidewalk mouth breathers that only follow football.
As for your link, what does an angry thread on Kentucky's board have to do with Alabama?
Btw, Alabama basketball has had stretches where they were pretty strong and the basketball fans were never anywhere near as arrogant as the football fans.

No. Not really. Haven't changed much. Don't take this place too seriously. Can still laugh about jorts (which are actually quite comfortable and utilitarian) and don't participate in ridiculous prediction threads, don't participate in who's the best threads, don't start threads about how great this or that UF team will be, don't start threads about why folks hate UF or Florida or sunshine...
Just like to jab here and there just like I do with friends from other schools and I do while watching games together. Life's too short to take all this too seriously.

Bama FB fans and Bama BB fans are two different sets of people.
While there are a whole lot of redneck FB fans, for the most part there are more pure BB fans. And I am old enough to remember when Bama BB was a hard ticket.

I can respect this effort. Troll UK while also landing a glancing blow on bama's body. In all honesty, UK fans aren't worth trolling. They (we? uggh) do it to themselves by assuming every mention of the cats is some jab in disguise... as the linked discussion on that cesspool of a board suggests.

Its a shame for Alabama that most of Newton's teams in the 1970's that were excellent were either on the cusp of the period of one team from a conference making the tourney, or just one "at large" team. Younger fans look at a media guide or what have you and see "NCAA appearances - 1975 and 1976" when in today's format they would have gone from 1972 to 1977 easily. CM Newton winning or sharing 3 SEC titles from 1973-74 through 1975-1976 is one of the SEC's most underrated accomplishments.
