Avondale, Good People, or Trim Tab?

For a while it was Avondale for me but Good People is starting to taste better.

1. Good People - great beer, great people
2. Cahaba - great beer, odd location
3. Trim Tab - good beer, douchey people

4. Avondale - terrible beer, terrible people, cool building

Avondale, Good People, Trim Tab, Cahaba (in that order).
I can see the disdain for Avondale tasting different. One of the bar tenders tried to explain the process to me; I think it has something to do when in the brewing process they aerate the wort.

ETA: bias towards Avondale because it my local neighborhood brewery and I agree, Good People makes a fine product. GP IPA on a hot summer day is hard to beat.

I had a Cahaba IPA on tap at a local eatery last week. $8 a pint. Yikes.

I paid $7 for a Trim Tab IPA tonight. Some places just can't get good prices on local beer.

Just finished a good ppl ipa at martins in nashville. It was solid. The five bucks for a small plastic cup was a little much. Avondale is ok. Not sure on the other.

I have been told that Avondale has somehow pissed off a lot of local bars and restaurants. Not sure how, but I have noticed their beers are no longer in a couple of them. I've actually only had 2 of their beers - their IPA and the vanilla porter. Couldn't finish the IPA it was so bad, and the porter was just okay.

Beer Engineers is about to open their place over near GP. Didn't care for their peanut butter porter, and I've heard their IPA is worse than Avondale's.

Good people for the beer
Avondale for the music
Cahaba for the atmosphere
Haven't been to trim tab yet, which is weird because I live a mile from it, but I've heard really good things

I live within walking distance of Good People, Trim Tab and Cahaba, and like them all, but prefer Good People. Good People IPA is my go to beer, and I enjoy their Snake Handler too, but it's too strong for an entire drinking session. Trim Tab I appreciate for being different, and for playing with "cask" brews like I used to get in England. Cahaba is tasty but not quite the hang out place that the others have become... And then there's Avondale...I love the Vanillaphant Porter, and like that they have more than one IPA, but it's gotten a little too crowded for me personally...weekends are crazy there!

My advice is just to enjoy them all! Life's to short to drink the same thing day after day...

Edit - Favorite thing is to visit Good People before seeing the Birmingham Barons across the street...and then continue with GPB IPA or Avondale Vanillaphants inside the ballpark.
