Auburn's offense last year was great, but their defense was atrocious

Auburn's defense allowed LSU to put up 35 pts in a loss, Georgia to score 38, A&M 41, and Mizzou 42...the most points any team scored on Auburn last year.

How long can Auburn's offense carry the defense on their backs?

How long can Auburn pretend to be a heavyweight with a limp defense?

Also, how can people continue to debate Mizzou and A&M's addition to the conference when the Big 12 newbs scored the most points on the West Division's best team ever?

Imagine if we gave up 42, 45, and 59.

As long as they keep winning SEC Titles.

Our offense didn't do our defense any favors by scoring on yall so quickly every drive.

Thats a lot of points to allow in any one particular game. I feel bad for teams that allowed more points than that in any game

Because Auburn beat you both at your own basketball-on-grass game.

Can't debate Mizzou anymore...they have won something at least.

What's more impressive is LSU's defense was the worst in recent history and they shut auburn down. Only time Auburn scores is when we had our 2nd team in

The fog's just lifting. Throw off your bow line; throw off your stern. You head out to South channel, past Rocky Neck, Ten Pound Island. Past Niles Pond where I skated as a kid. Blow your air-horn and throw a wave to the lighthouse keeper's kid on Thatcher Island. Then the birds show up: black backs, herring gulls, big dump ducks. The sun hits ya - head North. Open up to 12 - steamin' now. The guys are busy; you're in charge. Ya know what? You're goddam Missoukills! Is there any thing better in the world?

I was at that game. The dew was stiff indeed.

Missouri's offense only scored 35 points against our defense.

If memory serves, it was much more of a stiff monsoon really. Calling it a dew was more of a charity for the LSU fans to make them feel like they really won.

Pretty sure Auburn would've scored more points on LSU later in the season. Took a while for the offense to get going.

Ellis Johnson will probably get AU to a level where they will be decent enough on defense where they won't be a liability to the offense. The bar is pretty low for the defense because Gus' offense will be able to carry the load more often than not.
