"When I take a look at Florida this year, I do see a double-digit win season," Steele said. "In fact, I rank them my No. 2 most improved team in the country ... When you look at the talent they've got on the defensive side of the ball, I think they're going to look more like the team from the first half of [2013]. I rate them the No. 5 defense in the country coming into the season. You look at the defensive line, linebackers, DBs, all rank in my top units in the front of the magazine.
"You look offensively now, Kurt Roper, I think, is going to look like a genius at the end of this year. Let's face it, Florida's offense has only averaged about 20 some-odd points per game the last three years. But Roper's got some talent to work with. I thought (Jeff) Driskel worked well with Roper in the spring, I think he'll be a much-improved QB.
"As long as they stay healthy, which I think they will, they're going to go from four wins to double-digit wins this year. And I consider them one of the three contenders in the East along with Georgia and South Carolina."
Interview on ESPN 850 WRUF this morning.
I don't know about double digit wins, but 9 is certainly possible IMO.

He meant double digit win streak over Tennessee
Eta: it is 10 straight this year right? I've lost track....

10 in a row has a nice ring to it. Vols don't even need to take off their shoes to keep track of the streak until 2015.

How could he even know that?

Your defense should be good again.
The offense just can't tank like it has under Muschamp.
Being a dawg though I see y'all going 7-5 or so.

FSU could barely move the ball on UF in the first half in Gainesville even with our pathetic offense.
And UF went into Tallahassee two years ago and smashed FSU with a healthy team.

That's the same thing as saying he thinks they'll be plagued with injuries. There's no basis for the original thought.

I'm guessing 7-5 but they could beat a few teams like USC, LSU, UGA to finish 9-3 or even 10-2 if things really went well. I don't see them beating FSU and beating Alabama in Alabama seems like a long shot just because of home field.
