WTF Happened To MrSEC.Com?

Now they have this BS "FanvrsFan" owner that has screwed up the site BIG TIME. There are pix/gifs all over the place that you don't know where the Hell any articles are (unlike the old format). 2nd, you have to reregister your handle on there (MrSEC.com) on FvrsF. 3rd, any comments you make are automatically tied to your FB account. I know several of us keep our sports vents & personal FB 2 seperate identities.....or we would just use our own names on here. Lastly, if you go to make a complaint, you have to sign up with ANOTHER F'ING SITE!!! 
MrSEC.Com, if you're reading this, get the Hell AWAY from that garbage that's taken over your site!

I agree that the revamp sucks. Its cluttered, takes way longer to load, and isnt all that intuitive to use. I have no idea why he kept the original banner that let you click the school names now that they are no longer direct links to team news.
I also generally refuse to comment on sites that force me to tie my Facebook account to their bullshite.
Its like hey man. I already visit your site. I dont want your targeted ads cluttering up my feed.
Also, I can guarantee you that they now make you click a link to get to the headlines instead of having them on the front page to artificially drive up the web traffic for advertising. LINK

I'm e-mail friendly with John Pennington for a while and asked him what's up. Here's what he said...

MrSEC has been a great site to view headlines for years.
Good for john for being able to sell it, as an American Capitalist, I can't begrudge him that...
ALL the news sites are bogged down with ads. MrSEC will have to fork over bigger cash for better bandwidth if they want to have that many ads AND keep their readership, if the site stays as slow as it has been, they will lose big numbers.
But that's not john's problem...

Agreed. I basically told him (in a nice way) it's not worth the pathetically slow load times. See ya' in a month.

I looked at MrSEC everyday for 5 minutes or so. Liked it. LSU stuff everyday. I do NOT like it now. I wondered what happened to it. It changed for the worse. I will probably stop reading it with the new format. Thanks for the info on the change of ownership, they never mentioned it.
