The good old days, when #1 Miami got to play #11 Nebraska to determine if they were the national champs.

Thank god we've moved past that BS.

I was at that game and that was one helluva defense...Coyatt on that safety looked like he shot out of a canon...dude was a man child

Coryatt was a bad mamajama. How the heck was he a bust in the NFL? I don't remember what derailed his career.

oh and in the words of Yogi Berra, this will be like deja vu all over again. LINK

By our rules now I wonder how many personal fouls and ejections that team would have gotten

Coryatt had shoulder issues when he was in the NFL.

Nicest guy you could meet. I worked out with him a couple of times and he was just a physical specimen with freak strength.

for still rocking that sig. I'll break it back out for the Southwest Classic.

and also for dominating the horns in recruiting this cycle. I looked last night and saw that the highest rated Texas recruit committed to them was #15. I wonder what the issue is with Strong, is he trying not to take early commits like Brown loaded up on?

A bit of that, playing catch-up bc of the early recruiting cycle (ironically what Mack crushed), and Strong has had difficulties making inroads with high school coaches.

Strong from my understanding has roots in the east coast, Florida areas whereas Sumlin has been in Texas in some form over a decade- he has major ties.

Should have posted the Cotton Bowl where the Wrecking Crew stonewalled Bo Jackson at the goal line!

He was great his first few years on a shitty Indy team...then his body just broke down and physically ended his career.

I spent many nights standing in the same bar with Coryatt back in college and I've never seen a human being that physically intimidating and jacked in my life. Dude was a prop 48 out of high school and would have been the number 1 recruit in the nation if they had all that stuff back then.

Great defense, but not top 5 all time.

Coryatt was a monster.

That hit of his will never be topped.
