What type would you recommend between the 100 to 125 range?

Asics or Brooks depending on your arch

My go to shoe is the asics gel nimbus for long distance running. Very good shoe.

175 lbs.

These don't have as many miles as models past but I do more insanity p90x on this pair than previous and they've held up flawlessly for 2 years of it.

I will never buy another pair of nike, under armour, reebok, or Adidas again.

I'm about 190lbs. The nimbus is a good shoe. Not the lightest or fastest but they will take care of your feet allowing you to get your moneys worth out of them.

Yeah I only buy Asics Gel Nimbus. Ive also tried the GT 2000, Cumulus and Kayano over the years and neither we nearly as good as the Gel Nimbus.

I love the brooks ghost 6. Though I'm due for a new pair. I think the 7 is out now.

Why did they have to make the shoe so ugly?

Brooks, I think I got mine for 119 (some a little more expensive in the past for 139), but very durable and last a long time

Pretty much this, although I'll go with NB, if I don't have brooks.

I have a wide foot, so 4E shoes are pretty essential for me.

NB and Brooks have been great

They are becoming progressively uglier each year. The last few years they have been very bright in color... I typically prefer a conservative look but the comfort of the Gel Nimbus is excellent.

I went through a lot of running shoes and I run a good bit

Asics. By far..

I have the Gel Nimbus 16. They are about 150. If you look around, you can get the Gel Nimbus 15's for around 100. Awesome shoe

Your best bet would probably be to go to a local specialty running store and see what they recommend. Also runners world magazine has a good shoe buyers guide based on size, amount of running, stability needs etc..

I run in Mizuno wave runner's and have for the last 3-4 years. Put in 25-35 a week and up the mileage if training for a race.

Have run in asics, brooks, Nike in the past and have just found that these work for me.

Also if you find a pair that works for you, consider buying another pair and rotate them out since even the same show may change in feel from one year to the next.

Narrow feet go Nike or Adidas

Wide go New Balance or Brooks

Quality Saucony or Mizzuno

I wear Nike due to having a contract with them when I worked in college athletics and having narrow feet.

Do not whatever you do get pronation prevention unless you need it.
