Nerlens Noel will play in his first competitive games in 17 months when he joins the Sixers' entry in the Orlando Pro Summer League from Saturday through July 11 at the Magic's practice court at the Amway Center. Philadelphia's opener against Orlando at 1 p.m. ET Saturday is being televised by NBA TV.

Noel is also scheduled to compete in the Las Vegas Summer League from July 11-21.

"I'm very excited," Noel said Thursday after the Sixers' final day of minicamp at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. "I know there will be a lot of eyes on me, but I'm definitely coming in with a team mentality and to get better. I haven't played in a year and a half, but I'm staying focused and being patient with the process of coming back to organized games."

Extremely happy for the big guy. I can't wait to see him back on the court.

He had a great all around game too. Glad to see that for him. Hope he proves people wrong about his skills. 7 for 7 from the line too.
