Apples and oranges.

Star Wars is more fantasy while Star Trek is more true to its SF roots.

Honestly, I never dug either of them too deeply, but I agree with this sentiment as a critic.

More of a Dune guy.

Star Wars.

Never liked Star Trek, but I did enjoy the last 2 movies by JJ Abrams.

Duuuuune is great.

I'm an Ender fan, if we're talking favorite SF universes.

More modern, the Halo universe is pretty awesome.

I also like the "Alien" universe -- bad directing and questionable writing aside.

Hopefully Prometheus II will shed some light.

Yeah. I actually liked Prometheus. I don't get all the hate.

I watched a video on youTube that shot down everyone's typical problems with it, though. It was cool.

There were simply some silly questions of physics and logic that I could come up with -- but not nearly enough wrong to make an argument against it.

Although, still being Christian after all that is...strange. Let's just say strange.

Yes it was. I thought about a lot after that movie as a believer. I liked it a lot more than most though.

I do like the predator and Alien universes as well. By that I mean alien, aliens, predator, predator 2, predators, and Prometheus. None of the others really.

I only watched it once on a bootleg copy in a makeshift theater with forty other people and I nodded off several times throughout but I didn't like it. Felt like a horror movie in SciFi clothes.

Isn't that what Alien was?

Prometheus was much more SF than Alien.

This as well. They made more of an attempt to fuse the two than the initial movies.
