@BrandonHill_RTR: With that being said I have been released from the University of Alabama! I want to thank the coaches for all they support! #RollTide
I was a big proponent of this kid coming out of high school. He went to prep school and then redshirted last year I believe. There were a couple reports that if he could get down to a decent weight that he had the ability to be a very good player. Disappointed to see him go but we have a lot of young OL with talent that recently reported.

Someone on TSWSNBN said he was up to 390 pounds a few weeks ago.

If true, that's not gonna cut it after you've been on campus over a year. I wish him luck though wherever he winds up.

what does he mean he was released? like he was cut or something or he asked for his released and was granted it?

for some reason i thought he had made progress on his weight

He had dropped from over 400 last January when he reported to around 385 last season but he was still listed at 385 this spring. I remember reading an article from his high school days saying he was 370 with very little bad weight but things kinda went downhill from there. He probably needs to be around 360 at most to play at this level

Where does this leave us numbers wise? I know at one point we were 3 over.

I was trying to remember. I think we're now 1 over if everyone qualifies. Remember 1 signee is looking iffy. It's possible we're 2 over though
