That can only mean one thing: The season is approaching and people are viewing MSU as a legitimate threat.

If they didn't view the Grinders as a threat, these threads and hate would not be popping up.

MSU goes 5-3 in the SEC this year. Unlike 2012 it will be earned insetad of beating a bunch of weak teams.

No one hates on Mississippi State except Ole Miss. The rest of us hate on select MSU posters who start crazy saying ridiculous things like:

I see no reason why they can't win 5 SEC games.

Kentucky they will beat
Arkansas they will beat
Vanderbilt they will beat
Ole Miss is winnable
Texas A&M is winnable

Alabama and LSU are the only sure thing losses on the schedule.

yeah, not sure why anyone is laughing. 4-5 SEC wins is pretty much the expectation.

4 SEC wins would be great for MSU. 5 would get Mullen an extension and raise.

5-3 and a top 20 recruiting class is definitely worthy of both.

don't get me wrong...I'm not saying MSU doesn't go 5-3 in the SEC.

but 5-3 in the SEC is far from being "a legitimate threat".

standings wise we'll probably be only a game or two out, as i don't think anyone comes out of the west with less than two losses, but i don't think we'll really challenge for the division either. i'd be happy with 5-3.

Not probable but definitely possible. Especially LSU.
