I feel like we are sooo close to really putting them away for good but then well give up a 3 or something and let them stay in it.

They really aren't good. We should win by 15+

Starting to pull away. This is a classic shite the bed moment for UGA athletics and it looks like Fox had them ready to play

I think you about nailed it at 11. Obviously Kentucky tips off at 4 today and how that game goes could impact the spread, but I'll say the line opens around 10 and most of the money goes to UK pushing the line to 11.5 at tip-off.

It'll take our best game of the season to beat them, but it's possible. Either way Tuesday night will be exciting. Gonna be an insane crowd.

Did we want LSU or Ole Miss to win?

Like for RPI purposes or tournament seeding? Probably OM either way.

Ole Miss winning would have been better for our rpi since we played them twice (only played LSU once).

The odds of us being top 4 (and getting the bye into the quarterfinals) is slim. LSU is tied with us and has the tie breaker. A&M is 10-5 and has an easy final 3 games so we won't likely catch them (unless we beat Kentucky).

We're most likely gonna be the 5 seed in the SEC tourney which means on Thursday of the tourney we'd play the winner of 11 vs. 14. Win that and we'd get either A&M or LSU most likely.

We'd avoid Kentucky until the SEC semifinals in that scenario.

It's all speculation, but suppose we lose Tuesday then beat Auburn and go 2-1 in Nashville. In that scenario I think we'd have a shot at a 7 seed in the big dance.

K state just beat #12 Iowa State, Seton Hall just beat Creighton and Vandy just beat Bama. All good news for our RPI.

K State is interesting. 6 top 25 wins but they have a .500 record.

Winning on the road there certainly helps our resume though. I mean I think we are safely in unless we get rocked against Auburn and lose the first game of the SEC tourney. Even then...we are probably on the right side of the bubble but if we win either of those games we don't even have to worry about selection Sunday.

I think unless we beat UK we are looking at an 8/9 seed so there really isn't even much to hope for. I don't think we get up to a 7 without beating UK. And honestly losing to Auburn and dropping to a 10/11 wouldn't be the end of the world

You're probably right on that, I'm just really hoping we can maybe play our way to a 7 seed since that makes a run in the NCAA tourney so much more possible.

If we could beat Auburn then win two in Nashville I think we'd have a shot. Sure that means we'd collect two more losses, but in that scenario they'd both be against Kentucky (Tuesday, then one in the SEC tourney) so they wouldn't lower our rpi much at all. I think tomorrow we'll be around 30 and if we got 3 more wins (assuming two losses to #1 Kentucky) we could probably be around 27 in the rpi. That makes us competitive for a 7 seed I guess.

Or we could just pull this thing off on Tuesday and rock on to a 6 seed. I'll be there, can't wait.

Kenny Gaines hurt his foot at practice tonight and didn't return. If it is serious... There goes the season. Unreal. Hope it is nothing too bad.

Not sure, but I know he played like 2 minutes against missouri. Didn't play against UK obviously. But I would think he's continued to progress. I would think (just my guess, no info) that he'd get some minutes tmrw, especially with KG probably a no go.

Mason is not returning to the team this year. Still a game we should win against a bad team minus Mason and their starting PG. Harrell will be a tough guard without Gaines and could light us up but we are still the better team.

Fox also Said Parker is ready to increase his minutes if need be. Not sure how much or how he will look but that could help a little. Would be big to get to 6-3 on the road in the SEC tomorrow.
