damn this win is huge. that's a top 50 rpi win and just gives us some wiggle room later on most likely. we need to keep winning to get to the point where dropping a game wont be that damaging to our tourney hopes.
if we can win the next three before kentucky, we might be moving into tourney LOCK status

That was a HUGE win. Their guards were too much for us but we still prevailed on one of our worse performances of the year. This team is good.

It was a block... but I'll take it. Ole Miss got away with a couple earlier in the game.

JJ is hardly our best player. He is good but Marcus Thronton is team MVP, hands down!

So idk why this thing got stickied but it seems yall prefer it this way. Would yall rather keep this thing stickied for general discussion or make new threads? Now that it isn't football season I figured yall would prefer to just use the board but then this happens.

Coming down the stretch, when you need to hang on to the ball and hit FT's, JJ is our best player. He or Gaines. . .probably give it to JJ for his ball handling.

Yeah Thornton is probably our most "important" player, in that it would be practically devastating to lose his presence while we could probably find just enough out of our guards to sustain a loss of one of them. But Frazier has been so awesome of late just really contributing in a ton of ways to get us wins.

I think it's good for the board. Game threads can be seperate. I'll start providing game previews before each game leading up to tipoff but game threads will be seperate. It's gonna be a good thread with lots of good information.

Works for me. I like a central discussion for it to be honest.

Miss State has now won 2 in a row. They may not be the cakewalk we all thought, especially on the road.

No. This is a losable game if we don't show up. They're athletic, very streaky, and much improved. I give us an edge in the coaching department but this game will be close. Good thing we had an extra day to prepare. Gonna have to play solid on both sides of the ball to come out of starkvegas with a win.

Parker likely to miss this one too, right? Maybe next Tues or Sat? While Frazier has been balling, would be great to get Parker back into rotation for our guards. They look so sluggish late in the game because they go all out and are down a meaningful sub

UGA @ MSU
MSU: 61.1 PPG
UGA: 72.5 PPG
MSU: .422%
UGA: .458%
Coming off a huge road victory on the plains, the MSU Bulldogs are slowly becoming a team to be reckoning with in the SEC. The Bulldogs have won back to back conference games for the 1st time since 2013. Ironically, the last road victory for the dogs before the 1/21 contest against Auburn came in Athens in 2013. That year, MSU started off very strong, but faded into distinction until the past 2 weeks riding a 2 game conference winning streak. MSU is a very athletic team. They're streaky from behind the 3. They play solid defense and rebound the ball solidly. They are led by a a group of solid players: Fred Thomas, Roquez Johnson, Gavin Ware, and Craig Sword.
Georgia will have to play one of its' best games of the season to come away with a win.

@WG_Dawg Can't believe you just agreed with me.
@Cripsy Frazier is a really really good guard and can shoot it like maybe nobody else we've had in a long time but Thornton is way more important. Thornton is much more important as he is a scoring machine that can bang with the bigs and he can rebound. Both are extremely important but our lack of back court depth puts more importance on Thornton than Frazier.

I don't hold personal grudges. I will agree or disagree with anyone. It's just that most of the time you post things that are not agreeable.

Yet another must win game for us. Gotta break away from middle of the pack for me to get comfortable with the SEC standings.

We're 5.5 point favorites. Odd territory seeing us laying that much on an SEC road game.
I'd be thrilled with a one point win.
