He was just basically talking about how big of a joke it is that Lunardi had us pretty much as a lock in the tournament asking what we've done and how we've only beaten one team in the tournament. Lunardi pointed out a lot of things we've done well and Greenberg just didn't get it. Granted, he only made the tournament once as a coach so he's probably not the expert on that sort of stuff.

It helps their standing and I believe gives us another top 100 win.

It certainly doesn't hurt but it's not gonna be a big factor. They are a sub .500 team but it would be nice if they could stay in the rpi top 100. My guess is that they won't, but it'll be close.

For some strange reason, I think we might be able to pull one off tonight. We seem to match up pretty well against teams like Arkansas, Ole Miss, and A&M. Guard oriented teams. If UGA wins tonight, they're good to go.

Not sure about tonight
quote:

Marc Weiszer @marcweiszer · Feb 24
Mark Fox said SF Juwan Parker will need surgery after the season for his achilles injury but for now is getting close to being back

Doesnt seem likely though

quote:

"He was able to do more in practice yesterday than he’s done, ever," Fox said. "He’s getting close to being back and he’s been shooting the ball pretty regularly for about two weeks. We got him in some defensive drills [Monday] for the first time, so he’s making progress.”
Fox said Parker is still likely an “emergency-only” option for Georgia in the near future, but the team will know a lot more about his situation based on how he warms up Wednesday

I'm guessing it could get postponed too. No announcement yet if that's what you're really asking

Could be a nice opportunity to play a road game with a really weak crowd due to weather

Good win last night I'm glad I took the +5.5 points. Had a feeling we would give them trouble. Now on to the next game!

Must beat Mizzou at home to seal things. Losing on the road at Auburn would be forgivable (though I'll still be pissed if we do) and UK is an unlosable game from a resume perspective: we win, we're Gods for the week, and if we lose then NBD.

Missouri is hot coming off their win against Florida. First win since like January 8th or something

I said last week that I expected a split the last 2 games, L vs UK, win vs missouri, toss up vs auburn, and 1-1 in the SECT. I felt that would firmly put us in the tourney based on everything.

Us sweeping on the road was massive. Huge. UK is pretty much irrelevant to our resume assuming a loss. If we beat missouri on saturday like we certainly should, that AU game becomes a little more meaningless.

It may not really seem like it, but last night's win very well may have sewn us up a tourney bid.

If the standings stick won't we play like MS state vs Missouri winner? Then we win that like ole miss would be next. Or do we take ole miss place with that double bye? We could win two in the tourney even though it would be tough

There's so much left to shake out it's almost impossible to really know what the seedings will be. As of RIGHT NOW though, you are correct, we are the 6 seed so would play the winner of MSU/Missouri after our first bye. Win that and we'd get ole miss. Win that and we likely get arkansas.

If we slide past LSU for the 5 seed (certainly doable) we would have a 1bye then the winner of AU/SC. Then aTm next round. Only problem with the 5 seed is it's on UK's side of the bracket.
