I wish the SEC wouldn't split the SECN revenue evenly

Seems like it's a bit socialistic that the schools with lower viewership will be getting the same cut as some of the "haves".
Thanks Obama.
Some of the schools should get more than others IMO all based on viewership, footprint, contribution to the network, etc.

The Big 12 is waiting to give UF an invite if you would rather have your own version of the LHN.
But know it takes two teams to play a game, and a rising tide lifts all boats.

Think of it this way: big, even checks to all teams means opportunity to spend on program improvements all across the SEC landscape. Improved programs means improved performance, and imporved performance across the conference means competitive contests. Competitive matches means more viewers and more viewers means potential for even bigger checks when the contract is renewed.

Wasn't dedicated to UF. It probably would have been eventually.

Yeah obviously that model has done wonders for conference stability in the past.
I mean, there is no good reason that the only conference that does not evenly split revenues from all three tiers is the only major conference to lose more than a single member in the last five years.

Walmart should split profits with General Dollar.
It'll bring up General Dollars boat with the Tide.

God knows we won't spend it on marketing faux pas like calendars featuring convicted murderers

Power Conference?

You don't split gate revenue, merchandise sales or donations...just media rights and bowl revenue. UF still produces more than a lot of SEC programs.
Keep selling that Aaron Hernandez memorabilia and you guys will be just fine.

The SEC is a group of partners who work together to bring about a more prosperous conference.
UGA, LSU, Bama- they are not competitors they are partners.
Teams from the B1G, PAC, etc. are competitors.
And no, the SEC won't share a dime from the SECN with the B1G.
