Yea so I have a cold. I usually just nuke them with day/nyquil but I want to try some better methods. What do you do?

So no allergies?

That sucks though. Summer colds are the fricking worst. I usually drink hot water or tea with lemon and honey. And it may be totally in my head but I swear by that Emergen-C shite. At the very least it gives me more energy.

Brush my teeth with jack and leave the house to go clubbing in the daytime. Glitter usually opens up my nose too

A good antihistamine, rest and time. Rule of thumb for a cold: three days coming, three days here and three days going.

You have a good Vietnamese place near you? A big bowl of pho does wonders for a cold.

If you buy garlic, make sure it isn't from China. If you can't find turmeric root, you can use turmeric powder. Ginger powder will work, but fresh is always best.

All of those ingredients are very very good for you. If you can't use all of them, use what you can.

It might taste like shite, but I would just make the ginger tea and drink that. Then take the turmeric powder and throw it in your mouth and wash down with fresh lemon water. After this, swallow some cut up garlic (2 bulbs).

Do this every day, up to 3 times a day. You will be good to go in no time.

I usually stick with dayquil or a tylanol/mucinex DM combo.
