The one hander, the game winner against bama in 2010, the game winner against USC in 2011. Was blessed to watch him play in person. Will be truly missed.

After this news the constant dick measuring contest on tRant has truly just gotten old and tired. I think I may just lurk for awhile.

This. I remember him scoring as a true frosh @ LSU, that was my first memory of him at Auburn. I feel like that video that got him on espn was the first year I began following recruiting.

I think it was the 2012 IB we were getting blown out Lutz caught a pass and was headed up the sideline instead of going out of bounds he tried to hurdle the defender and got blasted helmet to the knee if I remember correctly causing him to do a flip. He was down injured. Think he may of even came back in later. This may be the injury that destroyed his hip. Either way that's the kind of player / man he was. Never gave up, played hard, lived life the right way.

Okay that Ole Miss catch is sick.
The 2010 Iron Bowl obviously is my favorite, but, I remember a game when he first burst onto the scene with Auburn where they kept talking about the length of his last name. I cannot tell you what game it was but I think he obviously had caught a TD and something about him seemed special even then.

Being at the 2010 Iron Bowl seeing him make that TD catch, and getting a high five from him and a lot of the other players in the back of the endzone after the game. Tough news to hear.

Lutz was my little girls favorite player after she watched the Lutzie dance gif a thousand times. 2012, I take her to the Vandy game in Nashville, because I only live an hour away, and because I knew the Tiger Walk would be more manageable for her. She is wearing her 43 jersey, and Lutzie stops, gets down on 1 knee, hugs her, and gives her a high five. She cried like a baby when I explained he had passed away.

Damn. That hurts man. Will always remember his catch and dance in 2010 IB. Still can't believe he passed.

Was away from the interwebs this past weekend, so I just found out about Lutz yesterday. Truly a tragedy, not just for him and his family but the others involved.
RIP Philip, and War Eagle.
