IM destressing after a long shite arse week

The last two days consisted of medical consults in College Station with terminally ill adolescents (did get to see the stadium for the first time though, incredibly small consolation) and a 16 hour call shift today where I got to watch three people die including a 9 year old who had her head bashed with a shovel by her father.
I'm two Xanax and about four bourbons in. frick I hate this world sometimes, nature and cancer can go frick themselves.

If you're two full bars in and are still coherently tying then you have a problem

Jeezus.
Not good.
None of that.
Not even seeing the stadium.
Here's to a better week next week for you.

What the hell kind of job do you have? That just sounds brutal, sorry man

Sorry man. My stressful weeks are at least never depressing

This is probably only the third of fourth time I've taken Xanax, and I'm sure Im gonna pass out pretty soon. Sometimes there are days you just hope to forget.
The worst part was he father had the audacity to deny it before the police came to get him. I was THIS close to shoving the fricker against the wall and telling him what a worseless cocksucker he was.

That sucks. Just don't do anything stupid. Xanax highs make you extremely vulnerable especially if you legitimately took two.

I'm in the clinical years of med school, mostly grunt work but every now and then we are actively involved in really terrible cases. The cancer patients I can deal with, but frick kids suffering gets to me.

I'm getting drunk on 32oz Milwaukee's best ice and listening to a real human bean

I know, I just hate people who mess with kids. Luckily rational though prevailed, but several of us vented hardcore in the break room after. Throwing chairs and shite.
People are fricking sick, and being tired and stressed amplifies the issue.

People voluntarily drink Beast?

Kids have got to be the absolute worse. I bet the chair thing helped.
You know xanex and booze can be a problematic mix right?

Definitely, never take more than two in a day and never right before bed. I just needed some calm a few hours before bed. Never ever passout on Xanax though, you blakout and do crazy shite

I lost a full weekend that way once

People are truly fricking sick. In your line of work you'll see the underbelly of society more than most. You're young and not yet jaded to it.
The best thing to do is to learn to detach your emotions from the situations you'll encounter, at least enough to protect yourself. There's absolutely nothing wrong with doing that. In fact, you should consider it to be a necessity.
