Comcast Guy told Me today the SECN will be available come Game 1

I'm currently with Comcast and called into their Disconnect Line. I asked if he could confirm if they were going to carry it this year...He got off the phone, potentially made a fake call to somewhere in Georgia and came back on and said they should have it...
Anybody heard any different?

My parents are about to drop them if they don't get it within the next few weeks

A friend of mine is thinking of switching to DirecTV and he asked the sales person if they would have it..."Absolutely". I told him to get it in writing.

I'm sure they'll have it.
Even if they don't, we wouldn't cancel though. We have our cable, internet, and home security through them and no one else on the market right now comes close.
Now, when Google Fiber comes to Atlanta it'll change things.

I called them a few days ago and they said they wouldn't guarantee they're going to carry it. Still managed to leverage them against AT&T and get my bill down.

All cable providers in the South will carry the SEC Network but it will not be available until around the first week of August.
If cable company's advertised right now that they were gonna carry the SEC Network. ESPN "owner of the SEC Network" would rape them on the negotiation price. Because at that point ESPN would "know" they had the cable provider exactly where they want them, this is the period of the "chinese haggling" part of the negotiations.

I wouldn't trust Comcast at all. They're probably telling you that so you will stay with them because I'm sure they're getting a frick ton of complaints.

If this is true, then I really don't understand their marketing strategy.
IS it to let everyone cancel subscriptions before announcing?
