Who do LSU fans feel will get the nod? This time of year sucks, nothing is going on. I would love to know some stuff on how Coker is doing but it's just a dead time. Ready for the season!

All signs are pointing toward Harris being the starter for the Wisky game

had no clue, hadn't heard much about it at this point. Yal will be scary with a true dual threat!

Both will be solid and can learn a lot from each other. I'll give the nod to Jennings if he can improve on his ball placement and becomes more confident. I still think Harris is too raw as is but come August 30th, if Harris has gotten big enough and has shown he can run better and make better decisions, he'll start.

I have my doubts about that. My estimation is that Jennings starts Wisconsin and has a short leash.

I suppose summer practice could change that but it just seems like the way Miles handles the QB situations. I mean, the guy started Andrew goddamn Hatch for multiple games until he got knocked silly against Auburn and Hatch was ungodly abysmal.

My biggest peeve with Les Miles has been his management of QB's post 2007 when he actually had to make tough calls with the QB rotations.

Do you think Les struggles more with a)recruiting the right QB, b)choosing the right starter? C) developing QB's?

When did LSU first start a QB Les recruited?

I still can't believe he didn't play 12 on 1/9. That guy killed us the year before and he didn't see 1 play. Jj always played well against us too, but to not see the field was just crazy, especially the way jj performed.

LSU would have started Ryan Perrilloux in 2008 had he not been a frick up off the field, that was a Miles recruit. Miles' recruiting is fine, QB's are hard to project from high school to college and LA doesn't produce a lot of them. Jefferson was highly touted, Lee was an elite 11 quarterback.

The Jefferson/Lee saga and the Hatch/Lee thing is primarily what I'm talking about. Perrilloux put us in that spot but I feel like Miles was stubbornly wedded to Jefferson when it became painfully obvious at some point in the 2009 season that he needed to be pulled at many times. I was ecstatic when he got suspended from the team going into the 2011 season. No way LSU goes undefeated in 2011 with Jefferson running the show. I was all in for Lee starting going into the 2011 season, personally, and I think the results bore out that he deserved the spot over Jefferson, but he'd have never gotten it had it not been for JJ's off the field issues.

He also recruited Mett to LSU which was terrific. Both QB's currently on the roster were touted and so was Rettig who left due to depth issues. Now that Jefferson/Lee is gone the QB management may be great, but I saw stubbornness from Miles during that fiasco and the Hatch/Lee situation that leaves me a little concerned.

ETA: Zach Lee was another fantastic quarterback prospect Les recruited and looked great in spring training as an early enrollee but then got drafted in the first round to the LA Dodgers.

Don't get me started.

Another issue I have with Les Miles is the fricking pathetic gameplan for 1/9. Jefferson worked against Bama in the GOTC because Bama wasn't prepared for the Jefferson option package. Jefferson stunk it up when he was reintroduced to finish the season against Arkansas and again against Georgia in the SEC Champ Game. Yet Miles stuck with him and hitched his wagon to the option game and the option game alone, as if Nick fricking Saban wasn't going to have Alabama's defense prepared to defend the option game.

And then to never insert Lee into that game, IMO, illustrated a degree of stubbornness that you just can't have and win in this conference.

I still love Les, but it's a love/hate relationship at times.

Yea Les screwed us from the start of that game by not starting Lee. He had carried us all season and not even one snap? I know he had really played bad against bama but give him one more shot..... We should of played Okie State anyway

I feel like Harris is Cameron's guy and will play as a true freshman but Jennings will start the first game.

Les won with Jefferson and Lee at QB. So this is absurd.

Tell that to AJ Mcdashian.
All those games he won and the BCS Titles and he got drafted in the fifth round.

Zack Mettenberger was drafted in the sixth round with a blown-out knee and no big wins on his resume.

You have Lane Kiffin to develop the big, stiff, goofy kid from FSU. Coker has zero pocket presence and awareness. I can't wait to watch the petulant little Monte Kiffin jr. have to deal with the half-pint dictator when the offense struggles.

LSU has Cam Cameron to develop Anthony Jennings and Brandon Harris. It was just a coincidence LSU had the fist 3000 yd passer, 1000 yd rusher and two 1000 yd receivers in SEC history. Can't wait.

i know this might be the cop-out answer, but Les really did get fricked with the Perriloux situation. Lee was shell shocked from the get-go and Jefferson just sucked. Mettenberger turned out to be very good. These next to are TBD. Jennings has me worried after the Iowa game, but I know that was his first true game so who knows.

In Lee's career against bama he had 1 TD and 7 INTs. Although I don't necessarily agree with not putting him in...it's not like we had fricking Joe Montana on the bench. Some LSU fans like to revise history.

The fact that LSU went 13-0 and won the SECCG with those two QBs is amazing in itself

What year would Perriloux have been? LSU, no question, would have won the title that year with him.

It appears that Cameron is making the call on the QB situation and also recruiting the future QB's as well. So for all the people saying Les will ruin (insert QB name) that might be off a bit. And yes that is the same Cameron who did all of the above things that have been mentioned by Bama fan. Of course our offense has been light years better with him at OC and I forget your new OC has a sterling HC record in both the pros and college.

You mean the Cam Cameron...well you get the point.

I'll take Cam Cameron over the Lane Kiffin who Al Davis called a flat-out-liar and regretted ever hiring him. The Lane Kiffin who bolted Tn. because he didn't have the chest to be a head coach in the SEC. The same Lane Kiffin who was fired at the airport (Pat Haden couldn't stomach having the slime-ball in his office).

Yet will be starting over Andy Dalton by week 5.

Can't wait. That's gonna be a blast around here. Hope you stay around.

Les couldn't win with Mett, why do you think he will win with 2 unproven QBs?

LSU was 20-6 in two years with ZM as a starter. How do you define "win" in gumpville? Au and OU say hello.
