Charlie Strong will have the better season hands down IMO
I think he's gonna turn Texas' whole program around.

Texas can be a powerhouse. Dear god I hope Strong fails miserably.

I think Petrino is, by far, the better coach. He doesn't have the talent Strong does at Texas but I think he'll have a better season. Strong is anti-media and anti-fan. He'll struggle.

Disagree. They're both obviously good coaches, but Petrino inherits a program in better shape even though they lost their all-everything QB.
But then I looked at the schedule. Holy moly. Louisville plays FSU, Miami, Clemson, and ND. Texas has respectable OOC games against BYU and UCLA, plus of course Baylor, OU, OSU, and TT. Both tough schedules, but I think Louisville is better-equipped to handle it.
I know Strong is a good coach. But I'm not sure he's the right guy for that job as he's not a rah-rah personable guy that Texas alums need/demand. Plus there's the whole A&M-is-beating-the-crap-out -of-Texas-in-recruiting thing that he has to deal with for future years, and my maroon-colored glasses say that isn't going to improve for him soon. My guess is he'll be fine eventually, but not in 2014 or 2015... and 2016 may be too late.
