*success?

Last year y'all went 10-3 with a 3,000 yd passer, a 1,000 yd rusher, and 2 1,000 yd receivers.

ALL of those players are gone.

I realize LF is the greatest thing since sliced bread but where do realistically think y'all will be at the end of the season?

I see anywhere from 7-5 to 10-2. Would 10-2 and a Cotton/Cap 1 Bowl appearance be good enough for y'all?

To me, 10 wins and a w over Bama at home. We have to fix the recent trend with them

Mathematically possible....extraordinarily unlikely

10-2

Reasonable upper prediction. Depends on the two losses (to whom..how did LSU play in those losses)

10-2 would be a success. Some fans will cry and emit ululant cries even with this.

I'll cheer like hell for LSU to win each game. IF they lose one week, I'll cheer like hell even more the next. My self worth isn't tied up in the football team record, so I'll have fun no matter what.

Reasonable expectation of success: 10-2

Capable of better

I think a lot of people are underestimating LSU. We will have one of the best O-lines in the country, one of our best group of linebackers in a very long time, excellent DB's, a great stable of backs, and still have two of the top ten coordinators in the country. Everyone is underestimating what I think will be a surprisingly good D-Line. Big questions at QB and WR (tons of young star talent), but LSU has proven in the past that it can go all the way to the 'ship even with a poor QB.
I expect a 10-2 season and would be disappointed with any less.

The supply of LSU real estate in your head is ample.

LSU doesn't need a QB to win 10 games.

9-4 or 10-3 is the ceiling….Not hating either, but lets be realistic

So many toss-up…And as much as the homers will hate to admit it, that includes: Ole Miss, Arkansas (every year), and Wisconsin

Sat, Aug 30 Wisconsin
Sat, Sep 6 Sam Houston St.
Sat, Sep 13 LA-Monroe
Sat, Sep 20 Mississippi St.
Sat, Sep 27 New Mexico St.
Sat, Oct 4 at Auburn
Sat, Oct 11 at Florida
Sat, Oct 18 Kentucky
Sat, Oct 25 Ole Miss
Sat, Nov 8 Alabama
Sat, Nov 15 at Arkansas
Thu, Nov 27 at Texas A&M

To me, at Auburn, at Florida, Alabama in Baton Rouge, and Ole Miss are toss-ups. I don't think it's unreasonable to win our other games and pull two of these.

I expect 10 wins. Strong defense, one of the best O-lines in college football, and young, but elite skill players with some very serviceable veterans.

For asking a question? You have really thin skin bro, this isn't a troll.

FWIW I think LSU beats Bama at home after the bye. @ Auburn and @Florida back to back weeks is crazy tough, not sure y'all win both.

@A&M could be another loss and Wisconsin should be really good so that's a toss-up IMO.

I don't see Wisconsin being a toss up. They will be breaking in every one of their front seven on defense

Didn't realize that. I just know Melvin Gordon is one of the best RBs in the country and they always seem to have good line play. Their QB is good, not great. First game of the season is almost always a toss-up when playing a team that is at least halfway decent.

My jimmies are in proper order I just don't understand when people put so much analysis into other fans' teams.

If you can't handle someone else talking about your team, not even in a neutral stance, a sports message board might not be for you.

Hate them with a passion.

This.

I've just come to expect this with Miles. He simply does not lose non-conf games outside of bowl games.

I'm obviously not a LSU fan but i'm pretty sure LSU fans are ready to go back to Atlanta. LSU's my pick to win the West.

Echoing what others have said, a 10-win regular season would be a success for me. Our O-line and defense will keep us in every game, but we'll probably drop a few due to young (but talented) skill players on offense.

2015 is when we're really setting up to make a title run.
