Yeah and tbh I'm not really crazy about it either. I'm just happy that it's something my team is good in.

I know people who see it as #1. I see it as 2, fwiw. But I doubt many of the other schools think so.

College baseball is just one of those things that you have to be a part of to enjoy. Baseball is already considered a pretty boring sport to watch on TV, then add the lack of offense with the new bats plus the big ball park and people tune out.
But if your team is in the CWS of course it's exciting. Just saying if your team isn't in the mix then there's no reason to watch.
