Bigger Disappointment if Vandy loses tonight, Vandy or Auburn?

With the SEC having a chance to take 2 Nattys in the Big 3 sports this year and falling short when it counted the most, which is more of a disappointment Vandy taking a 1-0 series lead and then losing 2 straight to UVA, Auburn getting beat by FSU, in a game that (according to many Alabama and Georgia fans) they wouldnt have even played in without extreme luck?

Vanderbilt playing for a national title in a "major" sport is never a disappointment.

Its kind of like NHL, a few will remember who won it for a short period of time, no one will remember who lost

It's #3 in the college sports hierarchy, and while it's not remotely close to 1 and 2, it's still noteworthy. Especially for a school like vandy with virtually NO athletic history/tradition to speak of. They've won 1 natty ever in history, in women's bowling. Them playing for a title is not disappointing, regardless of what happens tonight.

I saw that happen and was wondering is that a midget or a freaky looking kid?

I don't know about extreme luck. Generally you make your own luck with hard work and being in position (Which the Auburn receiver was against us)
Add to that, that every team that has won the Natty has had a certain amount of luck to get there at some point in the season. Auburn was exactly where they should have been....in the Natty. They have a very good team with some very good coaching.

Vandy, I expected Auburn to lose.
