I get it that people may like a certain college. WTF do flip flops have to do with it? I get that people may like flip flops, WTF do colleges have to do with that? Are there wingtip college stickers?

The worst are the stick family stickers. No one gives a shite about your soccer playing kid.

I have no idea what you're talking about, but one could make the same argument for any apparel except jerseys, right? Even athletic tees/sweats are exactly necessary for the athlete's performance except to identify their team. A guy can run cross-country in a plain white Hanes, after all.

the whole salt life thing has run its course imho.
No one loves the Gulf & panhandle more than me, but living up in in KY now and seeing family vans with Saltlife decals on them, just makes me want to hurl. Could be a physical ailment I have, but I think it has more to do with hating the sheep mentality.
If you love the Saltlife, move to a Gulf coast state! I mean, Show your love with your actions! Many to choose from. Okay...Ive vented, meds are working, all is good

These don't bother me. Largely because it's at least representative of a physical accomplishment for most who put them on their automobiles.
I don't even mind some of the other stuff. It only really gets annoying when they have enough shite on their back windshield that you know it has to be block some of their vision.

Accomplishing isn't lame. Hell, good for you I guess. But slapping an obscure signifier of an achievement on the back window of a Grand Cherokee is kind of lame. Why do folks feel the need to drive around with a trophy sticker on their car? Do they think people care or will be impressed? Do they think ladies are going to follow them to where they're going and ask them to sire their children with your fit genes? Is it meant for other marathon enthusiasts as a weird sort of head nod, like seeing another fan of their favorite team?

I would guess this is most accurate. I don't have anything slapped on my car, but I think it's more respectable to have a personal achievement in black and white on the bottom corner of your car than having a giant lsu taking up your whole back windshield.

i don't think it's much different than these stickers, exceptthose marathon stickers are something they actually accomplished
i also fail to see much of a difference, logically, in putting a marathon achievement sticker on your car as opposed to any other sticker that marks an achievement .

In all fairness, I would find this person to be extremely lame. Lamer than any black and white sticker could possibly hope to unintentionally be.

It doesn't bother me. At least, I don't become outraged or annoyed when I see them. But I don't think I react to it like the person who put it on there wants me to. FWIW, I have the same reaction to "SSI" and "OBX" stickers. I don't understand what reaction they're supposed to elicit from me as the motorist behind that particular car. Am I supposed to be impressed that you vacation there? Am I supposed to be like, "Oh, Saint Simons Island! I, too, vacation there and I think I should try to signal this fellow so that we might arrange a meet-up sometime in the future because of our similar interests in commercialized beach property?"

Well, shite, I should hope not. The hassle that would cause, trying to explain to my wife every night why our lawn is covered in the cars of horny women desperate for my bulldog seed. Thank God bumper stickers are lame all across the board.
