@RobbyDonoho: Pernell McPhee lays down the gauntlet today in the interview I had with him: "The Dawgs are going undefeated. I'm calling it."

I don't remember ever seeing this type of pre-season hype. As a State fan, it naturally terrifies me.

I think most of us would combust if we went undefeated.

I love that someone managed to involve only former State players with that camp.

We'll win 5 games now.

Everytime we get confident, we take a plunge.

Take baseball for instance. Every damn idiot was yelling OMADAWGS! OMADAWGS!!! Yeah!!!!
Then karma delt us a little medicine.

It's best just to be hopefully optimistic that we will do good things this year and not get too pumped up, very recent history should have taught us a lesson but I bet the fan base hasn't learned it yet.

We beat LSU and I'll go ape shite though.

Do you not remember being preseason top 15ish in 2011?

Yes, because fan expectations directly correlate to on field production.

This is the most Mississippi State thing I have ever seen.

Nobody with a brain actually thought that we were for sure goin to omaha. Its hard to do. We had a good season. Anyone with a brain knew that Bama was most likely going to beat us during "we believe." Chill out. We have the best roster we have had in a while. There is nothin wrong with acknowledging it.

Taxman literally believes that we will lose if we start bragging on ourselves.

That's exactly right. We will lose because motherphuckers don't know how to temper their expectations. We get too big for our britches and then karma smacks us back into our place.

If we are humble, great things will happen.

This is Muffin's year to shite or get off the pot. Potential top 15-20 recruiting class and a schedule ripe for 9 wins, maybe even before a bowl. I really want to see an upset this year, Muffin's teams have been as predictable as frick.

If he can't do it this year, then he will never do it.

Yeah on paper this is definitely the year. A&M loses a lot...LSU loses a lot. Alabama is not as invincible as usual. We get Auburn at home.

Hopefully Juicy Geoff brings the ruckus.
