I can't be the only one who is plagued by this. It happens every time. I always tell myself after it happens "just take some NyQuil or something next time".

Then I just don't.

frick. 6 am is fast approaching.

Happens to me all the time. Usually because I'm just excited to travel, though.

Happens to me almost everytime I have a long trip. The last time I resorted to taking Benadryl the night before because I knew I wouldn't sleep well.

You guys obviously dont travel a lot. I do. after awhile, its just business as usual. hell, its that way now for me even on long overseas trips. The only thing that fricks me up is the jet lag and the length of the flights. yesterday I was in the air for 18 hours from Hong Kong to Atlanta. that sucks.

I don't know what you guys are talking about but I just went cliff jumping with two hot lesbians, a hot red head, and an even hotter gf, and I just got home with a broken toe.

Everyone drinking?

Sort of like having to go to work early, like at 4 or 5 am the next morning and I cant sleep much at all when this happens.

This happens to me -- which is why I don't schedule any of my classes early in the morning. The earliest is 0930, the majority start just after 1300.

This happened to me last night. Saturday night, I only had about 4 hours of sleep, so I should be exhausted. I helping to run an institute this week which has a bunch of unknown factors and points of stress at this point. I had to get up early this morning and drive an hour to get there on time.

Long story short: despite being exhausted from only 4 hours of sleep night before, I slept like crap last night thanks to the stress of having to get up early.

I think the poor sleep comes from the fear that I'm going to oversleep, as I get the same thing if I have to get up early to go fishing or get up early to leave for vacation.

always had this problem. i would stay up till 12-2 in the morning before we went to six flags or something like that growing up.

i don't nowadays, unless i'm just really excited about it, but it does happen.

since i travel for a living and like sleep, i get over it.
