One of the most random things I ever remember seeing took place in Palmer. I was visiting friends my freshman year of college, before I transferred in, and we visited that dormitory. There was a piano in the first floor lounge and, tied up to the piano, was a live goat.

That's not as bad as when I walked in on a tall lanky guy having intercourse with a very large Mexican girl in the common area on a couch.

There was good times in palmer though. We would do 4v4 halo lan games through the intranet or poker games in the basement.

Was an overall good experience.

I wonder if a new set of dorms will replace it there? That was prime real estate for the engineering college.

Is Palmer one of the dorms across from Paty?

Yes. It's on the corner and to the north of Paty.

Yep palmer and Somerville were across the street.

Wonder if they still serve those greasy Paty Melts on Texas toast?

They need to do Burke next.

And yes I know that they just remodel the mess hall. It's still pretty damn old.

Burke

Former resident checkin in. Burke sucked but was close to the fraternity house which gave me a couple extra minutes of sleep during pledgeship. Truly invaluable

Living off campus as a pledge was the worst. Didnt help that I was PCP so I was always called first

We had a ginger PCP.

I lived in Byrd Hall. Where the new Tri-Delt house is. Only lived in it fall semester then moved to our condo.

Every time freshman year you'd tell someone you lived in BYRD hall, and they would say "You mean Burke?"

I was PCP for the 3 weeks I pledged before I realized all the dudes in the house were lame.

No, but a shitty new row frat. My options were limited being a yankee with absolutely no connections down there. I have like 10 family members that were Phi Gams and my grandfather sent someone a letter at Bama and they said thats nice, but we dont know him so he's SOL.

I think the only people that lived in Palmer when I was a student were foreign students. Only time I went there was to play basketball one night late while drunk. One of the residents called the cops on us.

I think they long ago built over those basketball courts.
