Tennessee's o-line was somewhere between poor and mediocre last season and we returned like 400 starts. Overrated stat imo.

The A&M/USC game is going to be a clinic in great O-Line play. Wouldnt be shocked to see zero total sacks in that game.

New quarterback, shitting secondary, least experienced O-Line, lost mojo, clearly Bama is going to wreck the SEC

If you have a lot of starts returning from a good line, it is a positive. No stat is absolute, but you prefer some experience, remember the guys UT has coming back could not best out the guys from last year.

Especially when they're only flopping to the ground and cut blocking, amirite?

But seriously, I agree, the stat isn't that important (unless you return 6 like UT, Christ). We've had years with few starts returning and have been average. We've had years with over 100 returning and have been average. We're the Atlanta Hawks of SEC OLs.

Your Arkansas numbers are way off.

Arkansas will have 75 career starts on the Oline

Didn't Tennessee have a similar green o line last year as well? Or am I mistaken.

AU has not announced it's starting OL so I'm not sure where Phil is getting his numbers.

I think Tennessee returned more starts on OL than anybody in the conference last year. At least it was close. James, Stone, Richardson, etc.

From the number of career starts, combined, of all returning OL on the roster.

No. UT started 5 seniors along the OL last season, one of which was a 1st round draft pick. Butch Jones still got nothing out of that group

Oh, you think I think Bama won't be any good. No, I think Bama is going to be formidable and I don't think anyone will be shocked if they pull it together and make a great run at it. But this automatic assumption that they'll win the West just because they are Bama is dumb. If you break down the teams, there is no way that you come away with that assumption...it's just recruiting stars, Saban, and Bama...which will always be the case as long as Saban is there...but realistically, Bama is in the poorest preseason shape that they have been in-in several years.

Y'all are the new Oklahoma when it comes to preseason rankings. I have always liked the sound of Oklahoma. The way it rolls off the tongue...O-kla-homa. Say it with me. O-kla-homa

When is the last time Auburn finished top 10 in back to back years?
