Jordan Jones, 6-3, 180 WR, Smackover, AR.

3* on 247, currently ranked as the #11 Dual Threat QB in 2016 class but will play WR (most likely)

It was an extremely solid day for Jones, who ran a 4.34-second forty during the camp, in addition to two very strong shuttles. He also caught numerous balls throughout the day from quarterbacks, including current Arkansas commit Ty Storey.

"It's an awesome commit," his future teammate Storey said. "He's long and fast. He will be a good deep threat for us in the future."

Jordan Jones!!

On a side note, I hate when recruiting writers don't clarify that the 40 time was hand timed.

Either way, he's still fast but it's not a legit sub 4.4.

Also, he must have just been rated tonigt. He was not rated at the time that he committed.

Oh the kid can definitely fly, there is no doubt about that. I would say he was the second best WR in the state already this year as a sophomore.

It's just a pet peeve of mine. It used to drive me crazy under Petrino when they would release all of those crazy low 40 times during testing.

You're right in that 247 themselves haven't yet, the 3* .876 grade is the 'composite.'
But they do have him ranked.

I mean he didn't even have a composite score earlier. It was NA across the board.

The kid should be a high 3* or low 4* IMO. He'll probably never get ranked much higher than his initial evaluation though. He plays at a small school and strikes me as the type that won't go to the elite camps since he's already committed. He won't get much exposure so he won't rise but he probably won't fall either at least.

Disclaimer: I could obviously be completely wrong and have zero clue in regards to what I am talking about.

The name Smackover comes from an anglicization of the French "Sumac Couvert" which translates to "covered in sumac".

Send Cam on up,we'll be glad to see what a washed up coach from the NFL has to say to a true Razorback Family...and Jordan Jones!

Maybe he could offer up a case of LSU corndogs?

Jordan did have a composite rating at noon yesterday.

Jordan has also been to the national Sparq camp along with Elmo. Everyone knows about Jordan.

He had just been offered by Tulsa and has been invited to camps at TCU, Oklahoma State, and Baylor.

Kid sounds legit. Good get.

I doubt he shrinks. He isn't done growing.

His dad is only 5'9" tall....his dad's brother is 6'5"

So it seems, as Jordan now stands 6'3" that he could still grow a couple inches.

Jordan is only 16 years old and one of the younger kids in his class.

Here is is hudl for anyone interested.

What are the tendencies for top Arkansas talent to go out of state? Of all the positions to lure away from Bielema, WR seems like the easiest.

At 4.34 (if that's legit or even close) let him play any damn where he wants. Nice pickup hogs!

No matter the coach in the Rivals era, Arkansas has landed on average 75-80% of its instate offers each year.

Getting anyone out of our state is hard for most schools.

The ones who have left lately.....

RB: Altee Tenpenny- redshirted at Alabama
RB: Michael Dyer- dismissed from Auburn. Now at Louisville
QB: Kiehl Frazier- transferred from Auburn. Now at OBU
TE: Dakota Mosely- Arrested dismissed from Auburn
QB: Kodi Burns- never made it at QB. Finished career at WR
