UPDATE: Blake Barnett To Bama.

Not public yet but Bamaonline is reporting that Blake Barnett is pretty much a sure thing to Bama. He was supposed to arrive on Oregon's campus tomorrow. RTR! Thoughts?

It will be interesting to see if he ends up taking the trip to Oregon, and how long he will stay. They have a more favorable depth chart than we do, and he grew up an Oregon fan. If he does end up committing, Kiffin will have done work there.

Might be right but Blake Barnett is a hell of a pull if it does indeed happen. If Barnett can be pulled out of Cali from his childhood favorite than Eason can be pulled. We are also on Eason a heck of a lot earlier than we are Barnett. Although it does appear UGA is "ALL IN" for Eason at this time.

Anybody heard anything on how big of a factor UW is right now and going forward?
Kid's going to be a hell of a pick up for who ever gets his services. If it's not UT( which it won't be) I'm hoping he stays out of the SEC.

It makes UGA's pitch easier when Bama just got a high profile QB in the previous 2 classes, while UGA intentionally skipped a year to focus on recruiting an elite QB in 2016.

Not a factor, to my knowledge. Oklahoma and ND potentially could be.

Or the fact Bama will otherwise likely be down to 2 scholarship QBs in 2016. And if a loser from the 2016 transfers, he could be the backup his redshirt freshman year(if he doesn't win it).

Eason watches a lot of UDub because of the PAC12 Network, did also say he has a good relationship with Peterson.
Peterson calls him something cheesy too, means something like "Top guys we want" in an acronym or something. So bush league, can't recall it though.
They'll probably get a few proximity visits, but I doubt he goes there...

Hopkins, Oregon mod on 247, says that he is hearing that a commitment might happen by the end of the day, and his Oregon visit is in serious jeopardy.
