Budweiser? lulz.
Check out the stadium/Ballpark Village, Soulard, Dogtown, Clayton/CWE, Forrest Park/Zoo, and U-City.
Stay away from E. STL (unless you want a strip club). Avoid N. STL at all costs.
Don't waste your time in the county. Suburban blah.

Where (part of town) will you be staying?
For the weekend?

Bogart's BBQ - on like tv show's so it's good.
City Museum - if you have a couple hours. coolest place on earth and that's an understatement.
Molly's in Soulard
Downtown Clayton is just a few minutes from downtown StL, it's the financial center, it's probably up your alley, young professionals that make a lot of money. Good food and bars.
The Loop is eclectic. Burger and beer at Blueberry Hill.
4Hands brewery, by Bogart's.

Thanks
Definitely going to try out Clayton. Didn't know that existed actually. I've been to St. Louis once when I was 17, so this is basically my first time.

And apparently the group is already set on Bogarts and they're talking it up.

Go pub hopping in the Soulard neighborhood (just south of Busch stadium on Broadway). Always a great time.

I was going to steer you toward Pappy's, but they are both great BBQ places in town. The Anheuser-Busch brewery is pretty fun if you've never been on a major brewery tour, but yeah, Cards games are where it's at this time of year.

Don't listen to the pussies. This is your one chance to see drive-thru crack houses AND go to a strip club where the ladies have gunshot wound scars in the same day.

Remote speaks truth.
We have great Italian food. Really great. The Hill (and a few restaurants off the Hill) have some amazing food. My favorites are Trattoria Marcella, LoRusso's or for something a little more contemporary, hit up my buddy's spot in Clayton - The Mad Tomato.

If you have time that isn't being spent in bars, you should take a trip to see the basilica, it's the most spectacular catholic cathedral in America. The entire ceiling is a mosaic of over 100,000 tiles, it's a trip.
Also the wine country starts about 30 minutes SW of the city center, some good ones, lots of bad ones, but it'll get you drunk.

Downtown area places to see would include the Gateway Arch and surrounding park (you can ride up to the top of the Arch in a train inside of it; done it several times), Laclede's Landing, Union Station and Busch Stadium. I also like the St. Louis Zoo and Forest Park. I'd advise taking I64 and heading west to the Clayton, University City, and Frontenac areas of town; lots of shops and stores I like in those places including the Frontenac Plaza Mall. Others include Delmar Loop in University City and The Hill with its Italian restaurants. Lots to see and do depending on how much time you have.
Edit: that's a panorama view of the Mississippi River and surrounding area from the Gateway Arch in my sig picture below.

Agreed. Love the Loop.
You didn't mention when you're coming, OP.
Chuck Berry is playing Blueberry Hill this Wednesday and even though it's sold out, if you explained you were coming in from out of town they'd probably squeeze you in.
Chuck's not what he used to be, but even in his 80's he puts on a fun show. And how often can you watch a living legend perform at 20 feet away and then shake his hand (and get an autograph) after the show?
