I was working alone on homework in the computer lab at my school this evening. When I was leaving, I notice a flash drive that was left accidentally in one of the computers. I open a document and realize it belongs to one the students in my class. I also notice on the flash drive a set of folders. I click one of the folders to see what was in it out of curiosity. The folder contains every single test, quiz, homework assignment, walk-through, etc. with the correct answers.

I know cheating is a common occurrence in school but this seems excessive. What do you believe I should do in this case? Leave it alone, tell the professor or the dean, any other options?

Just leave it be. It will come back on the student one way or another.

How did that student get all the tests and quizzes? Or the correct answers for all of them. Someone wouldn't just leave that laying around. I don't believe you OP.

Have you been to college in the last 5-6 years? It's not difficult to get the answers to every test or homework when everything is basically standardized online. Unless the professor makes his own test and homework I guess, which is rare now in my experience.

Welcome to how 99% of Ole Miss students passed Spanish. Except, it's an email. And it's spectacular.

I never took spanish but I used the same thing on psychology. My roommate freshman year already had it all so he just sent it to me real quick. Thankfully I never needed to know any of that stuff for my major.

What language did you take?

Also, I loved test banks.

All of our test are taken online (blackboard). A previous student who took the class saved all of the test and put them on a flash drive. When you take one of the tests, you can review the test and it will show you what you made on the tests as well as the correct and missed answers. The professor does not change the test from semester to semester.

In college? None. I had 2 years of Spanish in high school and they accepted that.

Seriously? I had 4 in HS and I had to take a language. I was in Liberal Arts though.

Took Russian for the fun of it too.

Then that professor is stupid or just doesn't care. Either way, stay the hell out of it. Curiosity doesn't like cats or so I hear.

Oh well than that's the dumb professors fault. Don't snitch.

I would use it for my own benefit. You don't retain but about 10% of what you learn in class anyways.

I won't give it back. Probably just throw it away.
