1. South Carolina: The Gamecocks are losing some key pieces from last season’s 11-win team, but their offensive line stacks up as the best of the Steve Spurrier era. The left side with senior tackle Corey Robinson and senior guard A.J. Cann is outstanding, and junior Brandon Shell returns at right tackle. All three have NFL potential, while sophomore Cody Waldrop is healthy again and on the preseason Rimington list as the top center in the country.

2. Texas A&M: Talent has flowed through the Texas A&M offensive line the last few seasons, and even with top-10 picks in the NFL draft departing each of the last two years, the Aggies should again be as strong as anybody. Cedric Ogbuehi, moving from right tackle to left tackle, will be the next first-rounder to come out of College Station. It looks like sophomore Germain Ifedi will move from guard to right tackle, and junior center Mike Matthews is the latest gem to come out of that family.

I say hilarious that Auburn is #4, but I have to consider the source.

1-4 are neck and neck but 5-14 have some issues with depth and/or experience. So yeah, good list

Yep, I also have my doubts if the USC OL will the #1 in the conference, but it could be. I definitely think it will be better than any OL USC has had under Spurrier to date, but that's taking into account that half the time SOS has been at USC the OLs have been poor to atrocious.

Last year's OL was deeper than ever before, and it performed better than any other USC OL since 2004: this year's OL will be even more experienced and deep, so I am expecting great things from it. But we'll see if it's the best in the SEC overall...

Seems weird to see Alabama ranked so low at this position.

So A&M lost their best OL and is still #2. How is that possible?

Tennessee's OL is a huge question mark. Could finish higher... hope to go we don't finish lower

I usually don't have too much to quibble with in these stupid rankings, but how in the holy frick can UK returning 4/5 starters be below UT who is returning 0/5 starters?

Agreed. But it's certainly fair at this point given the uncertainty and new faces.

Move Arkansas into the top ten, move UT down to #14, move Florida to #13, switch #1 and 5, and it looks good.

I don't understand that either. We should come in at dead last in the league after losing everyone to the draft. FWIW, you guys gave up sack after sack(or at least it felt that way) to a terrible UT DL last year. If you let us do that, I'd imagine a lot more teams did as well. You've gotta hope they start to gel better moving forward.

An SEC offensive line with a combined 75 starts, two FR All Americans and was top 5 in rushing the year before is not #12 in the league.
