LSU safety Jalen Mills has been arrested and charged with 2nd Degree Battery according to a report by Red Stick Now. According to a warrant, Mills allegedly punched a female victim in the mouth and was later identified in a 6-person lineup by the victim.
The victim stated that she knocked on Mills’ apartment door looking for her friend. She stated that Mills opened the door then closed it so she knocked again. After the second attempt went unnoticed, the victim says she turned and walked away. After hearing a voice, the victim said she turned around and was then punched in the face by Mills.
This is Mills’ first run-in with the law since he has been at LSU, and he is projected to start at free safety for the Tigers in the 2014 season.

Mills' attorney weighs in:
But Mills' attorney, Brent Stockstill, said late Wednesday that Mills wasn't the perpetrator.
"He was not the person who struck the victim," Stockstill said. "That would be consistent with some of the information I've received."
Stockstill has been told by witnesses that another woman struck the female victim as both may have had romantic interests in Mills.
"That is what witnesses have said," he said. "I am still trying to get his side of the story. There were several people around when this happened."
