Helen gets a lot of undeserved hate. It was, for a long time, the oasis of alcohol in a desert of dry counties.
Then again, I did see a guy fricking an incredibly unattractive woman in the front seat of a 98 Explorer. I guess you have to take the good in with the bad while you're there.

I love racing through the twist and turns. Some of the locals will even pull to the side and let me pass when they see me catching them.

frick that. Unicoi State Park and Anna Ruby Falls are jewels in the crown of north GA. You should have to hand in your GA card if you haven't stayed in one of those barrell sshaped cabins or had the fried, whole trout at Unicoi.

I don't know where the Helen hatred is coming from the others. I would grab a nice fly rod and hit the Chattahoochee River or Dukes Creek. Fly fishig and drinking and chasing the Mrs around. Sounds like a nice vacation to me. Do like Squatch said and get the whole fried trout at Unicoi and then catch some on the fly!
