Considering the SEC has the flagship university from each state in the south, should we not expand and add the University of Texas and the University of Louisiana?

I see the (bad) hook and I'm not going to respond to that.
I will however respond to this,

the SEC has the flagship university from each state in the south
We don't have a team from North Carolina. We should have tried for an NC team before grabbing Mizzou.

Would be good additions. UL was better than lsu in 2 of the big 3 this year. They don't brings much to the table in terms of football right now, but I'm sure a move to the SEC would change that.

I do pray it never happens though. UL joining would really hurt every team in the west that relies heavily on LA recruits, particularly lsu and Arkansas.

Support

The University of Louisiana made the basketball tournament, the baseball super regionals, and hasn't lost to Alabama in three consecutive seasons.

Wasn't meant to be funny. Serious thought. Would do the SEC well.

I dont think Texas would ever join the SEC. I think they are glad they havent had to play TAMU the past two years in football. Considering how poor thier defense was, Johnny Football would have run up the score against them.

ULL is not ready to be considered as an SEC school. If you are going to offer ULL, why not Clemson, North Carolina, NC State, Florida State, Miami, or Georgia Tech. I think they all would be better options.

I wouldn't mind Texas and Louisville as the next two expansion schools.

Lucky for Texas that 13 other schools would have a vote too.
