If you think 1000's of LSU fans drive all the way over to C.S. for a Thanksgiving Day game, you are fooling yourself. The alumni in the Houston area may trek over, but that is the aggie's tradition, not LSU's. So, no, the tailgating will not be epic, at least on LSU's part.
