Cast iron is DA bomb. We have a large skillet. Two small ones. Two cast iron pots (one big\one small)

Always wash em by hand and slather with olive oil after drying.

I could eat good chili any time, but it hit the spot tonight at the school fall festival. I will agree Saturday would've been better.

Whatever the recipe, add deer and take to hunting camp when it's under 40 degrees. That instantly makes it the best chili evaaaaa.

Add hamburger meat and cook until browned. Drain juice off.
Add all dry ingredients to meat.
Next, add water and beans to meat. Cook until heated through and starts to bubble. Add to crock pot and simmer for 4 to 6 hrs on low.

2lbs. ground chuck 80/20 substitute 1 lb. deer if you have it.
Add 1/2 an onion or onion flakes and garlic powder while browning meat.

3 cans petite diced tomatoes
2 cans Bush's Hot chili beans
1 can light red kidney beans
1 1/2 packs Chili-O chili seasoning.
Chili powder to taste

Mix it all together in the crock pot, cook on high for about 4 hours stirring occasionly. Turn down on low and cook for 3-4 more hours. I like it with saltines but the wife and kids like chili frito pies.

The kummelweck roll gives the sandwich its name and a distinctive taste. A kummelweck (sometimes pronounced "kimmelweck" or "kümmelweck") is topped with kosher salt and caraway seeds. Kümmel is the German word for caraway, and weck means "roll" in the south-western German dialects

weck...very yummy

I just use course sea salt and a dish rag or paper towel to clean mine. Salt seasons the pan while acting as an abrasive. Works awesome.

I can get recipe's if needed.
