Beef on weck. A Buffalo NY thing.

Damn good. Salty weck rolls with jus, horseradish and roast beef!

Got off work early today so I ran to the store and got a steak. Pan seared it and then cooked up some peppers, onions, and minced garlic with some brussel sprouts. Dinner of champions.

Nah. Just easy peasy shite. Never really pan-seared much before so I figured I'd just marinate and go to town

If I didn't just love being outside and cooking on the grill I would never cook another steak on it. When the weather gets shitty I'll sear mine in a cast iron skillet then throw it in the oven for a few min at 450. It's crazy good. Put a little butter on the top when u put it in over. Mmmmmm

Fwiw I never marinade my steak when I sear it. I'll salt it sometimes, but usually just rub with EVOO and a little spices and throw it in.

Frankly I do most my steaks like that

Probably the best possible way to cook one.

I'm just a drunk and enjoy drinking outside

This is how I cooked the beef. Was in the oven for about 10.

Then sat on my cutting board for 20 mins before slicing. Tried to slice as thin as possible but it wasn't easy.

Dude I'd be cooking outside every night if I could. I already miss it. Had some friends over and made pork chops and all I could think of is how unsatisfactory cooking on a stove can be.

In honor of the cooler weather moving in tonight, I made a crock pot of chili this morning and let it simmer all day.
