Vanderbilt didn't have to report numbers.

Aggies, if you can't pull in more money than Kentucky WITH Johnny Football, how can you ever hope to gain admittance into the Big 6?

Gain admittance into the big 6? They only won 8 fricking games with a once in a lifetime QB and numerous 1st round picks. Plus a history of mediocrity. I have no clue why you all act like their some power program. Meanwhile I bet if we win 11 games 10 straight years we won't ever get the fricking respect we deserve.

Consistent 11-win seasons don't mean much when you can't win the SEC or make a BCS bowl. But even if we pretend that they are as important as trophies, you won't have to worry about that hypothetical and feeling snubbed. Spurrier's going to retire long before 10 straight 11-win seasons, and you guys will be back to your old selves in no time

such a bitch fan/poster

Dude can't understand that A&M has more resources than South Carolina could ever dream of. Don't be pissed when it doesn't take half a lifetime for A&M to win the SEC.

A better measure is probably ticket sales + rights/licensing.

All the other categories either fluctuate wildly year to year or are monies made by screwing over students or the tax payers.

I've seen a lot of horns using this talking point. They claim we went 8-4 because I guess bowl games don't count. Considering how Oregon destroyed them in the Alamo Bowl, I can understand why they'd want to take refuge in that perspective.

I think we did ok last year:

quote:

The university raised more than $740 million in donations in the past fiscal year, the school announced on Tuesday. The total, documented between Sept. 1, 2012, and Aug. 31, 2013, is a school record and more than $300 million better than any previous 12-month period in the school's history.

So you see, those USA Today numbers don't exactly tell the whole story.

A&M has a significantly better football history than South Carolina.
