Who's the best player at each position in the SEC? How about the best passer, the league's most valuable player, the top Heisman Trophy candidate, best offensive lineman, best defensive lineman, best athlete?

According to the 14 SEC football information directors, Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall is their choice as the league's most valuable player and the SEC player who has the best chance to bring home a Heisman Trophy.

The polling is done by The Birmingham News.

Lol, stuff like this makes it impossible to take list seriously. Mills won't even be a starting CB for us

Two thoughts:

Our OLman, Cedric Ogbuehi, is projected to be one of the NFL's top players taken at his position, yet teammate Jarvis Harrison gets the nod on this list? Wild.

Well just know it'll be all Thompson this next time and it will be closer to the 2012 version of our game than the 2013 version. Though it doesn't really matter. The end was the same for both.

We'll see. We didn't have the best QB in the SEC according to the SIDs that year.
