AJC

quote:

In an exclusive interview Wednesday evening with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Matthews admitted to having a loud and distracting conversation with a fellow UGA athlete on the final day of Maymester classes Tuesday, but vehemently denied having disrespected Dr. Ronald Bogue, the professor of his Children’s Literature course. Matthews says he was asked to leave the class of around 30 students but did not.

quote:

“That’s basically the reason why I got kicked off though,” Matthews said of the classroom incident. “That’s what [coach Mark Richt] told me basically. … Yeah, I think it’s kind of some of the arrest stuff, too, though. But I was basically, I was leaving anyways, I just hadn’t put that in the media.

Oh good lord.

This guy is a narcissist to the fullest extent with no real reason to be. He may have gotten a little poon because he played football. But it's Athens; if you're not getting your fair share, then you're not doing it right.

You hit the nail on the head.

@11AliveSports: Matthews says all 4 schools (AUB, AL, LOU & UF) are "all over him" and talking with his mom

This sounds like another BS statement as well.

It's a Compartive Lit class that simply studies a specific genre of literature (in this case, fairy tales and other types of literature written for children). Every liberal arts-based university has a course like it (it's not a junk course).

I'm going to call BS on this. My guess is he'll go to Louisville or spend a year at JUCO before finding a new college

You almost feel handcuffed sports wise when you see how Auburn does business but on the other hand it makes you feel good about being a Dawg

Auburn hasn't even taken him yet. They probably won't.

Auburn would take him in a heartbeat. They don't care about the players or their futures. They care about a ring and money.

Personally, it doesn't bother me 1 bit. I love that we have ethics and morals and class. Unless you bet on them to win the MNC, what's it really get you in life?

Id rather have class and ethics then 100 MNCs. Do I want UGA to win one??? Absolutely, but not at the expense of class and morals. I have TONs of family and friends that are Aubbies and it's embarrassing to see them talk and act most of the time.

Good luck to the young man and wish him the best regardless of where he ends up. Onward with what we got. Am and always will be PrOUD to be a Dawg. Go Dawgs!!!

He could've saved time by simply saying, "I was asked to leave because I'm a colossal gaping a-hole."

And a cinch to get an Auburn scholarship!
