Was planning to announce on the 10th, but apparently couldn't wait any longer:

I will spend the next 3-4 years at the UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA with my boys @WGreen_20 @B_Quatro4 @D1MANOS etc

Was once committed to USC, then opened his recruiting back up. Hopefully he's done now. A very talented WDE prospect....

I know every recruit has their specific reasons about why they chose to commit to certain schools but I can't help but think Clowney's success (and leaving early and opening up a roster spot) has really helped us land 2 very high ranking DE recruits.

Great pickup Apparently UGA has stopped recruiting him and Adonis Thomas in-state. Hope it doesn't come back to bite us down the line

First of all, congrats

But I seriously doubt that Clowney has had a major impact on these kids.

He's not Pruitt's kind of DE or OLB. What's to lol at?

considering our defensive front's success against UGA in the past few seasons, it may come back to bite y'all some more.

Not saying they've been worshiping Clowney for the last 3 years or that Clowney has recruited him but you rarely see DEs get the attention Clowney has received since 'the hit', I don't think it hurt that he was wearing a Gamecock jersey when he did it.

UGA fan's predictability. Any time a decent GA recruit goes anywhere but UGA there are always UGA fans that come out and say how they stopped recruiting him, if they even recruited him at all.

Perhaps it's at the fact that the initial OP and 1-2 posts from non-UGA fans had ZERO to do with UGA, then a UGA fan feels the need to add that UGA backed off of him, that there's grade issues, that USC having Clowney has 0 impact on anything having to do with recruiting, etc. etc. (we're still young with this thread, so didn't want to close-end the UGA trend).....

That's true, but nothing about it was mentioned in those posts, is what I was saying...nothing to give UGA fans any other reason than to say "congrats" and move on....

Yeah, I figured. I'm just saying they should hopefully be smart enough to know they don't have Clowney's talent and more than likely won't repeat his draft status.

Tyler and Crispy are the two people who are the most connected to our program on this board. If one of these two say it than it is more than likely true. They've been saying it for a few months and I've seen in on some other boards so it's quite possibly true. No sour grapes on our end (maybe a few who didn't know the situation). Congrats either way.

Please, if the roles were reversed some USCe fans would be typing the same thing.

There's a reason I said I hope it doesn't come back to bite us down the line. Backing off isn;t a knock on the kid. It just means we have other targets that we think might better suit our needs and UGA doesn't recruit kids unless we're serious about taking them.
