Do you agree or disagree?

1. Walk the Line, Johnny Cash
2. Crazy, Patsy Cline
3. I'm so lonesome I could cry, Hank Williams
4. He stopped loving her today, George Jones
5. Standing on the Corner, Jimmy Rodgers
6. Stand by your man, Tammy Wynette
7. You don't know me, Ray Charles
8. Mama tried, Merle Haggard
9. Jolene, Dolly Parton
10, Mama don't let your babies grow up to be cowboys, Waylon and Willie

I would have had "All my exes live in Texas" by George Straight and The Carter Family's "Can the Circle be Unbroken" for Ray Charles and Jimmy Rodgers but that just mho.

Edit: Holy shite, just realized they have "Mean" by Taylor Swift ranked higher than "Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash :giantfrickingcasty:

1 shouldn't be 1, 4 should be higher.

"Sunday Morning Coming Down" should've made that list.
Nelson should get partial credit for "Crazy" - It will always be Patsy's song, but he wrote it beautifully.

EDIT: also, no "Coal Miner's Daughter"? Loretta playing up in Franklin, NC on Friday. My gf and her mother are going - I'm a tad jealous.

This. I think there are better Cash songs than Walk the Line anyway. JMO.

I'm assuming that's a joke.

I'd love to see angel from Montgomery thrown in there. But thank god there's no shitty new country anywhere near it.

#4 should be #1

#2 is right where it needs to be.

Throw number 1 out. Move number 4 to number 1. Add a different song by Johnny Cash at around number 6.

Any CM list that omits Swingin' by John Anderson is not legit IMHO! And #4 should be # 1.

These lists are tough to make and are always gonna draw criticism, but I would have liked to see "Pancho & Lefty" up there and feel like "Mama Tried" should be top five, same for "Jolene"

"Pancho and Lefty" should definitely be ranked higher than where it is at #40. I'd also move "He Stopped Loving Her Today" from 4 to 1 and replace "I Walk the Line" with "Folsom Prison Blues."

It's hard to take a list of greatest country songs seriously when it has a Taylor Swift song ranked 24th yet doesn't list a single Alan Jackson or Waylon Jennings solo recording.
